2019 Year In Review

With new faces and transformative places, 2019 was an exciting year for CORE Planning Strategies.

We added capabilities and capacity to our CORE team by welcoming Michael Bennett, Josh Scism, and Rae Parks as well as interns Trisha Martin and Andrea Wesson.

In line with our foundational 5 percent philosophy, CORE donated time to 14 nonprofit organizations. We also donated our talent and treasure. For example, our team worked with 1,200 students to teach them about careers in science, technology, engineering and math. And we supported 34 animals as part of the Indianapolis Zoo’s “Animal Amigo” program. They still live at the zoo, though… there’s no room for a dolphin in our office.

But there was plenty of room for clients, collaborators, and friends to join us for an open house, where we shared 3,700 Girl Scout Cookies! Speaking of which, if you’re in the market for some, there are two Girl Scouts in the CORE family who are currently accepting orders!

That family expanded when we welcomed a new baby (hi, Gracie Usdowski!) and celebrated a wedding (congrats, Jason and Melissa!).

To expand the value we provide to our clients and communities, we launched two new services—permitting optimization and facility coaching.

And whether for healthcare, municipalities, or school districts, CORE helped 27 organizations increase their efficiencies, realize their ideal capital improvements, and transform their communities. Our team completed 16 projects, ranging from new headquarters to redeveloped public spaces.

Throughout the year, we had the opportunity to collaborate with countless incredible individuals on projects that are moving their communities and organizations forward. As we move into our eighth year in business, we thank you for your being part of our journey. Here’s wishing you all the best in 2020!
