The Gifts of 2019: Showing appreciation, supporting conservation

At CORE Planning Strategies, we’re grateful to have enjoyed another year helping clients increase efficiencies, realize their ideal capital improvements, and transform their communities. As 2019 comes to a close, our team took some time to reflect on what we’re grateful for. And it’s with that spirit of gratitude that we’re participating in the Indianapolis Zoo’s “Animal Amigo” program on behalf of our clients this holiday season. The Indianapolis Zoo empowers people and communities, both locally and globally, to advance animal conservation.

Your relationship with CORE Planning Strategies helps us support great causes in the community and allows us to enjoy moments like these:

“I appreciate being part of a kind, caring, and compassionate team that finds new ways to do good work in others’ lives to achieve excellent outcomes every time—that’s CORE Planning Strategies.”

Annette Basham, Project Manager

“I’m grateful to finally have enough office space for our team to work collaboratively, with easy parking in and out so we can get to our clients quickly! We can also now host client and community meetings. I’m also grateful to now have a Director of Fun, Jason Larrison. We work and play hard!”

Deb Kunce, FAIA, LEED AP, Managing Principal

“I’m thankful to be a part of such an amazing team and for the amazing number of staff and students that I’ve met while working as the owner’s representative for Indianapolis Public Schools. I love seeing the immediate impact our projects have made for each school, and I look forward to many more positive encounters and opportunities to make a lasting impact to the safety and modernization of IPS schools.”

Michael Bennett, Project Manager

“I’m grateful for our new office, all our wonderful clients, and the CORE team that is family. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else!”

Susan Drattlo, Project Assistant

“It is a privilege that my professional life at CORE aligns with my personal life and interests. Having projects that help my hometown of Columbus, my community in Indianapolis, and my world at large to move forward… to give back to organizations that care for welfare, the environment, and the community… and to balance it all with time spent with family and friends… it is a gift to be part of a wonderful company surrounded by great colleagues.”

Jason Larrison, AIA, Senior Project Manager

“When I went to work for CORE, the first project I was involved with was the two parking garages in Carmel’s Mid-town development. I was privileged to see Carmel’s plans for Monon Boulevard and the Monon Plaza. At the time, I thought, ‘What a great addition the plaza will be for Carmel.’ Today, the plaza has become a major gathering place. I’m thankful for the vision of Mayor Brainard and other elected officials to bring this outstanding feature to the community. It’s gratifying to see so many people enjoying the plaza’s many features and using the parking garage.”

    Jack Ragland, Business Development

“CORE and the clients I have had the delight to service this year as part of our team rank among my highest delights of 2019. We don't give thanks and pay compliments enough, so to Deb Kunce I give my thanks to work for a terrifically smart and compassionate leader. I give thanks to my office peers for making every day with them one that brings joy and laughter without exception. To Office Spotify, I give thanks for your daily streaming background music, though would recommend Christmas music hold 'til at least December. Happy Holidays—share the joy and gratitude without hesitation!”

Josh Scism, MBA, PMP, CLSSGB, Senior Project Manager

“I’m grateful for the opportunities CORE provides to work with others in need, whether it be people, communities, and even animals! It’s great to help organizations make a positive difference, both through our daily work and the company’s contributions.”

Lynne Usdowski, Assoc. AIA, Graduate Architect & Marketing Coordinator

“I am grateful for all of the experiences I’ve had this summer and fall, from going to owner’s meetings and design reviews to being able to go to fun events like the Monumental Awards and team outings to the Yuletide Celebration. I am grateful to everyone for helping me grow and learn as a young professional.”

      Andrea Wesson, Project Coordinator

We appreciate our relationship with you and look forward to more moments in 2020!

      Happy Holidays,
