For the past 20 years, Josh Scism’s professional path has involved a blend of development and operational responsibilities that center on a common theme: bringing critical projects to successful completion. His experience includes representing owners’ interests in large-scale, capital-intensive projects and engaging with multiple healthcare institutions.
Josh’s work at CORE Planning Strategies allows him to apply his philosophy of servant leadership to impactful and transformational projects. He appreciates the opportunity to be part of a growing firm that meets clients’ goals with integrity and a commitment to excellence.
With an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from the University of Mississippi, Josh has certifications that include Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management Professional, Health Information Management Systems and ISO 9001-QMS.
In addition to his experience and credentials, Josh contributes an ability to balance linear thinking with creative adaptability. While plans need to be defined, Josh says, opportunities and challenges will inevitably arise, requiring “degrees of thoughtful consideration and flexibility.”
Outside of work, Josh “finds something interesting in every day.” He likes to travel, cook, laugh, listen to music, and spend time with family. In addition, he believes in helping others and is involved in multiple organizations, including Soup’s On Community Kitchen, the Interfaith Hospitality Network, the Martin Luther King Community Center, and Free Wheelin’ Community Bikes.
