Featuring a variety of public-sector roles related to the development and advancement of central Indiana, Katie Robinson's career path has centered around her passion for making communities better places in which to live, work, and play.
Through her role with Develop Indy, Katie managed the city’s business expansion, retention, and attraction projects in the life sciences industry. Katie’s work with the City of Indianapolis ranged from serving as Mayor’s Neighborhood Liaison for Mayor Bart Peterson to directing the Office of Sustainability under Mayor Joe Hogsett, where she led the development of Thrive Indianapolis—the city’s first-ever sustainability and resilience action plan—from start to finish.
“That opportunity helped me realize how much I appreciate putting the pieces of a project together and curating feedback into an extraordinary document that shapes our community for the many years to come,” Katie says.
Katie applies that interest to her work at CORE Planning Strategies, where her enthusiastic and sincere approach helps her build stakeholder consensus, form strategic alliances, and advance decision-making, all with an attention to detail that moves projects forward.
Katie is board member for the Irsay Family YMCA at City Way and a member of the sustainability committee for the NBA All-Star 2021 Host Committee. Katie and her husband own Centerpoint Brewing Co. In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading the New York Times—especially on Sundays, cooking with her husband and their daughter, visiting destinations off the beaten path and capturing their travel experiences through photography.
