While Michael Bennett’s path to the design and construction industry was a circuitous route, it was driven by his constant focus on problem solving and client service. After starting his career 25 years ago in retail at a record store, Michael applied his skills addressing logistical challenges to later roles in facilities coordination, project management, and building code analysis for the City of Indianapolis.
At CORE, Michael contributes attention to detail, a thorough understanding of local permitting processes and building codes, and a service-oriented philosophy driven by his desire to make the people around him better.
Michael has 17 building code proficiency certifications issued by the International Code Council, as well as a bachelor’s degree in media arts and sciences from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
When he’s not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Merih, and his two sons, Solomon and Gabriel. As a family, they love to travel and explore new restaurants, museums, and record stores; play games; and support the Indianapolis Pacers, Colts, Indians, Eleven, and Fever teams. Michael is also passionate about music, whether it’s making it, playing it, adding to his extensive record collection, or attending concerts.
